Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w całej Europie, zwłaszcza w jej części środkowej i północnej, na wschód sięgający po Kaukaz, Azję Zachodnią, Syberię i Mongolię. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju, brak jednak jeszcze udokumentowanych danych, z wielu krain. Poławiany głównie od kwietnia do czerwca, sporadycznie również w jesieni, przeważ nie w ekskrementach jeleni, rzadziej krów.
