Taxon description
Europa, Kaukaz, zachodnia Syberia, Mongolia; Ameryka Północna.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żyje na końcach pędów i na liściach brzóz - Betula verrucosa Ehrh., Betula pubescens Ehrh., Betula carpatica W. K., często między sklejonymi listkami. Kolonie tej mszycy, która występuje w dwóch odmianach barwnych, odwiedzane są zawsze przez mrówki.
