Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1985:

Gatunek występujący w południowej i środkowej części Europy, docierający na zachód do Francji, Belgii i Holandii, a na wschodzie notowany z Moskwy i Mohyleva. W Polsce wykazany dotychczas tylko z sześciu krain. Zasiedla miejsca bagniste i wilgotne łąki na terenach nizinnych i w górach do wysokości około 2000 m n.p.m. Przeważnie jest poławiany na trawach od kwietnia do czerwca.

Kuśka 1995:

Okaz podany z okolic Przemyśla (Trella 1930) należy do Cantharis pagana Rosenh. Biologia mało znana, Horion (1953) podaje, że był łowiony na bagnach i łąkach, m. in. na sicie. Nieliczne okazy z Polski i krajów ościennych były łowione w drugiej połowie maja i w czerwcu.
Gatunek dość szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w Europie i dalej na wschód aż po Władywostok (Delkeskamp 1977), jest jednak wszędzie rzadki. Znane mi są okazy z Podola (IZ) i okolic Lwowa (ISEZ).
