Taxon description
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem południową i południowo-wschodnią część Europy. W Polsce chrząszcz należy do rzadkości, znany z Pienin i pojedynczych stanowisk w trzech krainach na podstawie znalezisk w ubiegłym stuleciu, dlatego też dotychczasowe dane o występowaniu winny być potwierdzone nowymi materiałami. Żyje na szałwi łąkowej — Salvia pratensis L.
