Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w północnej i środkowej Europie oraz Syberii, w Fennoskandii sięga skrajnej północy. Występuje głównie w wolno płynących wodach oraz w strefie przybrzeżnych jezior, poławiany niekiedy w innych typach zbiorników wodnych.
