Taxon description
Gatunek zasiedlający południową, zachodnią i środkową Europę, wykazywany również z Kaukazu. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany przeważnie na terenach nizinnych i pagórkowatych. Z górskiego obszaru notowany tylko z jednego stanowiska w Bieszczadach na wysokości około 1100—1200 m n. p. m. Warunki ekologiczne słabo poznane, postacie dorosłe łowione na liściach olszy, gdzie wyżera larwy hurmaka olchowca — Agelastica alni (L.), rzadziej znajdowany pod kamieniami, w zmurszałych pniach, hubach i mrowiskach.
