Taxon description
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem prawie całą Europę, Azję Mniejszą, Syrię i kraje kaukaskie. Na północ sięga do Wysp Brytyjskich, południowych prowincji Szwecji, Łotewskiej SRR; notowany też z Kazania. W Polsce, choć nie znany jeszcze z wielu krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze prócz wyższych partii górskich. Żeruje na roślinach z rodziny szorstkolistnych — Boraginaceae.
