Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w północnej części Palearktyki, znany z całej; północnej i środkowej Europy, na wschód sięgający w Syberii po Bajkał. W Polsce chrząszcz bardzo rzadko spotykany. Występuje w gnijących szczątkach roślinnych, zwłaszcza grzybach, pod padliną i w chodnikach gryzoni.
