Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony niemal w całej Europie z wyjątkiem obszarów północnych Fennoskandii, znany także z Kaukazu i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce notowany głównie ze środkowej części kraju, w zachodniej części rzadko spotykany. Występuje na polach, przydrożach, łąkach i w zaroślach. Żyje na różnych gatunkach roślin z rodziny złożonych — Compositae, jak na przykład rumianek pospolity — Matricaria chamomilla L., rumian polny — Anthemis arvensis L., rumian psi — A. cotula L. i rumian żółty — A. tinctoria L. Larwa żeruje w koszyczkach powodując na nich wyrosła.
