Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek południowopalearktyczny, rozsiedlony w środkowej i lokalnie w południowej części Europy, na wschód przez Syberię sięgający do Japonii. Wszędzie, również w Polsce, sporadycznie i rzadko spotykany, przy czym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu pochodzi z ubiegłego stulecia. Dawne wzmianki K. Letznera sprzed około stu lat, prócz danych odnoszących się do Śląska Dolnego, winny być potwierdzone nowymi materiałami, gdyż nie zostały uwzględnione przez J. Gerhardta (1910) w spisie chrząszczy śląskich. Występuje najczęściej w sąsiedztwie gniazd mrówek Lasius fuliginosus (Latr.).
