Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1993:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w północno-zachodniej i środkowej części Europy, notowany nadto z Włoch. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w czterech krainach zachodnich. Zamieszkuje suche, jasne lasy liściaste i mieszane, zarośla na nasłonecznionych zboczach, ogrody owocowe i winnice. Gatunek polifagiczny, żerujący na wielu gatunkach krzewów oraz drzew liściastych i iglastych, notowany jako szkodnik drzew owocowych i winorośli. Chrząszcze perforują liście i wygryzają na ich brzegach karby.
