Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony niemal w całej Europie (nie znany z Półwyspu Bałkańskiego). W Polsce znany tylko z 9 krain, przy czym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu opiera się na znaleziskach w ubiegłym wieku lub na początku bieżącego stulecia. Zamieszkuje tereny nizinne i szerokie doliny w niższych położeniach górskich. Rzadko spotykany z powodu skrytego sposobu życia na pleśniejących podłożach w piwnicach, w głębszych warstwach pryzm kompostowych, w chodnikach podziemnych gryzoni, w wiązkach chrustu. Notowany również jako często występujący na cmentarzach.
