Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1980:

Pospolity, szeroko rozpowszechniony gatunek holarktyczny, w Europie docierający do jej najdalszych krańców północnych. Występuje prawdopodobnie w całej Polsce, aczkolwiek nie znany z wielu krain. Zasiedla stare, przegrzybiałe drewno zarówno drzew stojących, jak i leżących, znajdowany również pod gnijącym chrustem, zmurszałą korą, niekiedy także w próchniejącym drewnie w stodołach, szopach, piwnicach, a nawet kopalniach.
