Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1978:

Gatunek euro-syberyjski, rzadko spotykany choć szeroko rozmieszczony, obejmujący swym zasięgiem prawie całą Europę z wyjątkiem jej części południowych, w Fennoskandii docierający do skrajnych prowincji północnych. W Polsce znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk, przy tym dane z Pojezierza Mazurskiego i Śląska Górnego opierają się na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło 120 laty i dlatego wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Znajdowany w sąsiedztwie mrówek Formica rufa L. w gniazdach, nawet starych i opuszczonych, niekiedy również w zmurszałym drewnie, pod opadłymi liśćmi, odstającą korą i mchem pokrywającym pnie i pieńki drzew.
