Znany z południowej Skandynawii oraz gór i podgórza środkowej Europy. Żyje na mniszku pospolitym — Taraxacum officinale Web., mniszku błotnym — Taraxacum palustre (Lyons) Lam. et DC., brodawniku zwyczajnym — Leontodon hispidus L. i sałatnicy leśnej — Aposeris foetida (L.) Less.
