Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1973:
Gatunek znany od północnej Hiszpanii przez całą Francję, Holandię, Belgię, NRF, NRD do Polski, przez którą przebiega wschodnia granica zasięgu. Żyje na odkrytych terenach, zwłaszcza na polach uprawnych, gdzie przedkłada nad inne gleby gliniaste; w przeciwieństwie do innych gatunków biegaczy prowadzi dzienny tryb życia. W ostatnich dziesiątkach lat przemieszcza się w kierunku wschodnim.
