Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1993:

Gatunek opisany z Kaukazu, wykazywany z Ukrainy, Rumunii, Austrii, Węgier, Moraw i Turyngii W Polsce mało znany, notowany z nielicznych stanowisk głównie w południowej części kraju, przy czym dane o jego występowaniu na Śląsku Dolnym opierają się na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia, dlatego też wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Według L. Dieckmanna (1980) dane ze Śląska są wątpliwe. Ryjkowiec kserotermofilny, zasiedlający suche murawy, pastwiska, ciepłe stanowiska na zboczach, piaszczyste doły i wrzosowiska Szczegóły bionomii i rośliny pokarmowe nie są znane. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano od marca do czerwca na roślinach zielnych, w ściółce i pod opadłym listowiem.
