Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1974:
Gatunek zamieszkujący środkową oraz północną Europę aż do około 63° szer. geogr. Zasiedla gleby gliniaste i próchniczne, ocienione i dość wilgotne, czym wyróżnia się spośród innych krajowych gatunków podrodzaju Ophonus Steph.
