Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1973:

Gatunek palearktyczny, w Europie szeroko rozmieszczony od południowej części Francji, środkowych Włoch, północnej Rumunii, przez całą środkową Europę aż do południowych części północnej Europy, wykazywany również z Syberii, Chin i Japonii. Przeważnie rzadko i pojedynczo spotykany, natomiast częściej w napływkach po wylewie rzek, co się tłumaczy jego warunkami środowiskowymi. Prowadzi ukryty, podziemny sposób życia, głównie na pobrzeżach wód, znajdowany tutaj głównie pod kamieniami, wykazywany również z nor karczownika ziemnowodnego — Arvicola terrestris (L.).
