Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Europa; w Polsce głównie na polu dniu kraju, poza tym w parkach.
Gatunek holocykliczny i różnodomny. Migruje ze świerka — Picea excelsa (Lam.) Lk. na modrzew europejski — Larix decidua Mill, i modrzew polski — Larix polonica Rac. Na świerku wytwarza charakterystyczne wyrośla na końcach pędów. Szkodzi modrzewiom w szkółkach i parkach.
