Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
[KFP 2396: A. verna] Gatunek holarktyczny, w Europie rozprzestrzeniony głównie na pobrzeżach morskich, rzadziej spotykany w głębi lądu; na północ dociera do Karelii, Finlandii, środkowej Szwecji i południowej Norwegii, notowany ponadto z południowej części Afryki. [...] Występuje głównie w miejscach piaszczystych pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi — wypielonym zielskiem, opadłymi listowiem, ściętymi trzcinami oraz wyrzuconymi na brzeg morszczynami. Poławiany też na padlinie, w nawozie i pod ekskrementami.
[KFP 2395 — A. pauxilla:] Gatunek o niedostatecznie poznanym rozmieszczeniu, uprzednio bowiem uznawany był za odmianę albo synonim A. bipustulata (L.). Znany głównie z południowej Europy, notowany ponadto z Polski i Słowacji oraz z Afryki Północnej. U nas chrząszcz bardzo rzadko spotykany, wykazywany tylko z trzech stanowisk. Wymagania ekologiczne nie znane; w Pieninach złowiony pod napływkami.
