Taxon description
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w całej Europie, docierający do skrajnych prowincji północnych Fennoskandii. Jako rośliny żywicielskie były podawane różne gatunki z rodziny wiesiołkowatych — Oenotheraceae, zwłaszcza wiesiołek dwuletni — Oenothera biennis L. oraz z wierzbownic — Epilobium L. i z rodziny rdestowatych — Polygonaceae. Odmiana A. oleracea breddini Mohr, uważana przez niektórych autorów za podgatunek, nie stwierdzona jeszcze w Polsce, żyje na wrzosie — Calluna vulgaris L.
