Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Gatunek obejmuje zasięgiem zachodnią, południową i środkową część Europy; notowany ponadto z Danii oraz z prowincji Skanii w Szwecji. W Polsce wykazany z nielicznych stanowisk w dwunastu krainach. Zamieszkuje bagniste łąki i lasy, torfowiska, muliste brzegi wód i rowy. Roślinami żywicielskimi tego ryjkowca są rukiew wodna — Nasturtium officinale R. Br. i rzepicha ziemnowodna — Rorippa amphibia (L.) Bess. Samica składa po jednym jaju, rzadziej po dwa, w owocku po przegryzieniu jego ścianki. Larwa żeruje i przepoczwarcza się w owockach; żywi się niedojrzałymi nasionami.
