Gatunek strefy leśnej Palearktyki. Rośliny żywicielskie w Polsce: Calamagrostis Adans. sp., Corynephorus canescens (L.) P.B., Brachypodium P.B. sp., Festuca pratensis Huds., Dactylis glomerata L., Koeleria Pers, sp., Lolium perenne L. oraz na niezidentyfikowanych trawach;.
