Szelegiewicz 1968:
Europa: Anglia, Belgia, Niemcy, Polska, Austria, Węgry.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje u nasady łodygi, na rozłogach i korzeniach fiołka — Viola arvensis Murr. i innych fiołkach (Viola L. sp.), bywa odwiedzany przez mrówki.
