Taxon description
Gatunek kserotermiczny, występujący głównie w południowo-wschodniej części Europy, Azji Mniejszej, Zakaukaziu i Syrii, nadto wykazany z Francji południowej oraz Włoch północnych i środkowych. W Polsce bardzo rzadko spotykany, znany tylko z dwu stanowisk na podstawie znalezisk sprzed przeszło 80 lat i dlatego zasiedlenie naszego obszaru winno być potwierdzone nowymi materiałami. Poławiany przeważnie na jesieni w ekskrementach bydła, owiec i ludzi.
