Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Północna i wschodnia Europa; w środkowej Europie tylko sporadycznie w parkach: Szwajcaria, Polska.
Gatunek różnodomny i holocykliczny. Migruje ze świerka na jodłę syberyjską. W parkach atakuje także jodłę pospolitą i jodłę balsamiczną — Abies balsamea Mill. Żeruje wyłącznie na igłach.
