Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1991:

Gatunek zasiedlający Pireneje, Alpy, Sudety, Karpaty i północną część Gór Dynarskich oraz ich przedgórza. W Polsce należy do rzadkości, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w pięciu krainach południowych. Chrząszcze występują w lasach bukowych, gdzie spotykane są na licznych gatunkach roślin należących do rodziny wargowych — Labiatae i trędownikowatych — Scrophulariaceae. Larwy wyżerają miny w liściach tych roślin.
