Taxon description
Gatunek notowany z Wysp Brytyjskich, całej Fennoskandii oraz środkowej części Europy, gdzie jest jednym z najczęściej spotykanych kusaków z rodzaju Atheta Thomson. W Polsce dość rzadko spotykany. Poławiany w gnijących grzybach, pod ekskrementami i napływkami.
