Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1995:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem zachodnią część Afryki Północnej i południową oraz środkową część Europy, docierający na wschód do Kaukazu, Iranu i Azji Środkowej. Drążyn zielonawy zamieszkuje w Polsce głównie obszary nizinne. Występuje na polach, łąkach, pastwiskach, przydrożach i miejscach ruderalnych. Jako rośliny żywicielskie były podawane w piśmiennictwie: kapusta polna — Brassica campestris L., kapusta warzywna — B. oleracea L., kapusta rzepak — B. napus L., gorczyca polna — Sinapis avensis L., gorczycznik pospolity — Barbaraea vulgaris R. Br. i dwurząd wąskolitny — Diplotaxis tenuifolia (Juslen) Dc. Larwy żerują w łodygach i mogą powodować szkody w uprawach kapusty i rzepaku.
