Taxon description
Podgatunek kosmopolityczny, w pobliżu równika występuje tylko w górach na większych wysokościach.
Jednodomny i holocykliczny choć równie często anholocykliczny. Polifag znaleziony u nas na następujących roślinach: Solanum tuberosum L., Solanum dulcamara L., Papaver rhoeas L., Atropa belladonna L., Hieracium pilosella L., Geum urbanum L., Glechoma hederacea L., Potentilla argentea L., Lamium album L., Cerastium arvense L. Notowany jako wektor kilkudziesięciu chorób wirusowych.
