Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Fennoskandii i Karelskiej SRR przez środkową Europę aż do Pirenejów, północnych Włoch i Rumunii. W Polsce, prócz wysokich partii górskich, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze. Zasiedla głównie tereny nizinne, zwłaszcza wzdłuż pobrzeży rzek i potoków. Poławiany zwykle na miejscach piaszczystych, pokrytych cienką warstwą iłu, niekiedy spotykany w dużych koloniach.
