Taxon description

Szelegiewicz 1968:

Szeroko rozmieszczony w Europie.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Monofag na gwiezdnicy wielokwiatowej — Stellaria holostea L., wyjątkowo spotykany także na gwiazdnicy trawiastej — Stellaria graminea L. Urbański (1935) podał wyrośle tej mszycy z Malachium aquaticum (L.) Fr., co wymaga jednak sprawdzenia na materiale mszyc. Żyje na liściach powodując ich zwijanie się.
