Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1978:

Gatunek słonolubny; szeroko rozprzestrzeniony, występujący w prawie całej Europie z wyjątkiem północnej części Fennoskandii, notowany również z północnej Afryki i zachodniej Azji. W Polsce chrząszcz znany z kilku tylko stanowisk, przy tym odnośne dane oparte są na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia, jedynie we Wrocławiu był powtórnie stwierdzony w obecnym wieku.
