Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący środkową i południową część Europy, Azję Mniejszą, Bliski Wschód i Kaukaz, notowany także z Wysp Brytyjskich, Danii i dwu południowych prowincji Szwecji. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko wykazywany, znany tylko z czterech krain. Larwy żerują w nasionach różnych gatunków wyk — Vicia L. i groszków — Lathyrus L.
