Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący góry w Europie Środkowej, na zachód docierający do Szwajcarii a na południe do Włoch północnych, Tyrolu południowego oraz do Banatu. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w krainach południowych, nie stwierdzony dotychczas w Pieninach i Tatrach. Występuje głównie w lasach na podgórzach i w niższych położeniach górskich, rzadko wysoko w górach.
