Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w środkowej części Europy, na północ docierający do Wysp Brytyjskich, Danii i południowych prowincji Fennoskandii; wykazywany ponadto z Syberii, Japonii i Korei. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, notowany głównie z krain południowych oraz z Puszczy Białowieskiej i Koszalina. Występuje przeważnie w środowiskach wilgotnych. Bionomia tego chrząszcza nie jest dokładnie zbadana. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano od maja do września, głównie na brzozach — Betula L., rzadziej na wierzbie iwie — Salix caprea L. i leszczynie — Corylus avellana L.
