Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Anglii i Francji przez północną i środkową Europę aż do wschodniej części Syberii; na południe sięga do Włocha Serbii, Siedmiogrodu oraz Kaukazu. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w czterech krainach południowych. Spotykany w ciągu całego roku w gnijącym i zapleśniałym drewnie pniaków i pni, wśród butwiejącego listowia zmieszanego z chrustem i kawałkami drewna, w starych stertach trocin koło tartaków i pod przegrzybiałą korą; poza tym pojedynczo poławiany na runie pod drzewami i w czasie lotów.
