Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Bardzo pospolity ten motyl, zaliczany do szkodników leśnych, lata w V i VI. Gąsienice najczęściej o dwojakim — brązowym lub jasnożółtozielonym ubarwieniu żerują na wielu drzewach liściastych (dąb, buk, grab, brzoza, wierzby) od VII do X. Przepoczwarczają się na zimę w szarych podwójnych oprzędach między liśćmi na ziemi. Gąsienice przebywają najczęściej wśród liści, zespolonych przędzą.
