Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 2000:

Gatunek kosmopolityczny, pochodzący z południowo-wschodniej Azji. Rozwój odbywa w dojrzałych, gnijących owocach oraz w fermentujących substancjach pochodzenia roślinnego. Importowany głównie z tropikalnymi owocami do różnych regionów geograficznych. Do Europy dotarł najpierw do krajów nadatlantyckich, gdzie się rozprzestrzenił i zaaklimatyzował. Notowany dotychczas z Wielkiej Brytanii, Norwegii, Szwecji, Finlandii, Danii, Belgii, Holandii, Niemiec, Austrii, Czech, Moraw i Słowacji. W Polsce znany jest tylko jeden okaz złowiony 15 V 1994 r. Występuje w ogrodach, parkach, na polach, miejscach ruderalnych i wysypiskach śmieci.
