Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek opisany przed przeszło 120 laty z Japonii, w 1957 r. zaobserwowany po raz pierwszy w Niemczech, następnie szybko rozprzestrzenił się i zaaklimatyzował w Europie Środkowej i Północnej. Dotychczas wykazany z południowej Szwecji, Finlandii, Estonii, Litwy, Danii, Niemiec oraz z Polski. Po raz pierwszy w Polsce złowiono 2 okazy w 1884 r., a w roku 1985 około 30 okazów, w tym 17 okazów 16 VII 1985 w Dąbrowie. Wszystkie połowy odbywały się metodą nęcenia «na światło». U nas stwierdzono go w siedmiu krainach; na pewno szerzej rozprzestrzeniony. Występuje w strefie rozprysku wody na wybrzeżach morskich, na pobrzeżach rzek i strumyków; poławiany również pod napływkami i w detrytusie, w ogrodach, wśród gnijących szczątków roślinnych gromadzonych w pryzmach kompostowych.
