Szelegiewicz 1968:

Europa, Kazachstan; wszędzie lokalnie i dość rzadko spotykany.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje w dość dużych koloniach na gałązkach, młodych pędach i ogonkach liściowych topoli włoskiej — Populus italica Mnch. i czarnej — Populus nigra L. Kolonie tej mszycy odwiedzane są zawsze przez mrówki.
