Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Gatunek zamieszkujący południową, zachodnią i środkową część Europy, sięgający na północ po Danię i południową Szwecję; notowany ponadto z Afryki Północnej. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w jedenastu krainach; na ogół sporadycznie i rzadko spotykany, tylko na wybrzeżu Bałtyku i Mazurach częściej poławiany (Smreczyński 1976). Zasiedla piaski, miejsca ruderalne, wydmy, widne zarośla i zręby leśne. Żyje wyłącznie w kwiatach jasieńca piaskowego — Jasione montana L.
