Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986b:
Gatunek półnoenopalearktyczny, w Europie sięgający po najdalsze północne krańce, a w południowej części kontynentu występujący rzadko i sporadycznie, w Alpach docierający do wysokości około 2400-2500 m n.p.m. W Polsce znany poza Pobrzeżem Bałtyku tylko z zachodniej i południowej części kraju. Zasiedla głównie lasy i torfowiska. Spotykano go pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, wśród mchów pod drzewami oraz na resztkach pokarmowych kolo paśników dla zwierząt. Często pojawia się w godzinach przedwieczornych na trawach i roślinach zielnych rosnących na porębach i polanach śródleśnych.
