Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1990b:

Gatunek palearktyczny, rozsiedlony od Wysp Brytyjskich po Półwysep Koreański. Wyróżnia się dwa podgatunku z których C. duodecimpunctata hypopsila Jacobson zasiedla wyłącznie Azje Środkową. W Polsce występuje w całym kraju, ale z niektórych krain nie był jeszcze wykazywany. Żeruje na uprawnym i zdziczałym szparagu lekarskim — Asparagus officinalis L. Zaliczany jest do szkodników upraw tej rośliny. Bionomia poznana fragmentarycznie mimo licznych prac poświęconych temu chrząszczowi. Dotychczasowy stan badań nad tym gatunkiem przedstawił A. Warchałowski (1985).
