Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w środkowej Europie oraz lokalnie w południowych prowincjach Fennoskandii, na południe docierający do Francji, południowego Tyrolu, Bośni, Hercegowiny, Rumunii i Ukraińskiej SRR. Wszędzie rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany. W Polsce znany z pojedynczych stanowisk w pięciu krainach. Spotykany w próchnicy i w zmurszałym drewnie dużych, starych drzew liściastych, często w sąsiedztwie mrówek Lasius brunneus (Latr.) i L. fuliginosus (Latr.), poza tym w starych gniazdach os.
