Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący południowo-wschodnią Europę oraz na ciepłych stanowiskach w południowo-wschodnim obszarze Europy środkowej, wykazywany też z Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce ten ciepłolubny chrząszcz jest bardzo rzadko spotykany, notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w zachodniej części kraju. W ubiegłym stuleciu wykazano go z okolic Warszawy, czego późniejsze badania nie potwierdziły (Burakowski 1976). Występuje głównie na miejscach nasłonecznionych i na zboczach kserotermicznych. Bionomia nie jest poznana. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano wiosną na kwiatach różnych roślin baldaszkowatych i złożonych.
