Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Motyl dość pospolity, pojawia się w VI i VII. Gąsienice zielonożółte lub różowofioletowe w różnych odcieniach, w podłużne, cienkie czarne linie, żerują pojedynczo w VII i VIII na nawłociach, rosnących w miejscach nasłonecznionych (pola, przydroża, tory kolejowe, polany leśne) oraz na astrach. Żywią się przede wszystkim pąkami i kwiatami. Podrażnione spadają na ziemię. Zimują poczwarki.
