Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek o słabo poznanym rozmieszczeniu, znany dotychczas z południowej części Skandynawii, Danii, północnej części Europy Środkowej i Bawarii południowej. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadki, notowany tylko z jednego stanowiska: z uwagi na wymagania środowiskowe prawdopodobnie u nas szerzej rozmieszczony i należy spodziewać się go zwłaszcza, na Pojezierzu Mazurskim i w Puszczy Białowieskiej. Uważany za gatunek torfowiskowy. Poławiany na wilgotnych, czarnych glebach, przeważnie wśród mchów z rodzaju Sphagnum Ehrh. i pod rozłogami wrzosu zwyczajnego Calluna vulgaris (L.) Salisb.
