Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Gatunek zamieszkujący głównie środkową część Europy, na zachód docierający do Szwajcarii i Francji, a na południe do Włoch północnych. Wszędzie występuje lokalnie i bardzo rzadko poławiany. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w siedmiu tylko krainach. Larwy żyją w rozkładającym się drewnie klonów oraz w rosnących na nich hubach. Chrząszcze znajdowano także w starych hubach rosnących na pniach olch, na suchych gałęziach sosny oraz obserwowano chrząszcze fruwające w pobliżu starych wierzb.
